Mindfulness and the Five Daily Actions
MOVE | LEARN | SHARE | GIVE | LET GO |
When you exercise, how do you feel at the time? What time of day is it? What kind of exercise is it?
By finding the right time of day and the right exercise for you, you are more likely to create a daily activity that you can sustain. If it’s not working for you then change it up and find something that does work. |
There are certain times of the day when we feel more alert. For some it is the morning whereas others take a bit more time to get their brain activated. By finding your sweet spot as to when you can make the most of your brain power, you can make the most of your learning. | Sharing your time with anyone should always be a positive experience. By being mindful of how your day works in with other people’s’ lives or finding when and where there is a volunteering opportunity, you can make the most of sharing yourself with others. | Giving thanks and being grateful can be a constant part of your day. Being aware of what you have and the people you have in your life helps you to practice gratitude. By noticing the small moments and how they make you feel you can truly get more joy and pleasure from life. | Holding on to things from the past can cause resentment and increase the likeliness of depression. It can be difficult at the time but if you are aware of why things upset you and how it makes you feel and react, you can accept, and move. By doing this we can let go and prevent the build up of regret. |
